The Subaru Solterra is not intended for operation in deep or rising water conditions. Avoid driving through flooded roads, as this can lead to loss of control, electrical damage, or the vehicle becoming stranded.
If there is a risk of the Subaru Solterra being submerged, remain calm and follow these safety steps:
When the external water level rises above approximately half the height of the door, internal pressure may prevent the door from opening.
■ Water level exceeds the floor
If water enters the Subaru Solterra cabin and reaches the floor level, electrical systems may begin to fail. This can result in inoperative power windows, shutdown of the motor system, and inability to move the vehicle.
■ Using an emergency escape hammer*
The Subaru Solterra windshield is constructed from laminated glass, which cannot be broken using a standard emergency hammer.
Side windows are made of tempered glass, which can be shattered using an appropriate emergency tool.
*: For detailed information about compatible emergency escape tools, contact your SUBARU dealer or a certified accessory supplier.
