Mazda 3 Service Manual: Power Seat Switch Inspection
1. Remove the battery cover..
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 1 min or more

3. Disconnect the power seat switch connector.
4. Inspect for continuity between the power seat switch connector terminals using an ohmmeter.

If not as specified, replace the power seat switch.
Slide Motor Inspection
1. Remove the battery cover..
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 1 min or more..
3. Disconnect the slide motor connector.
4. Apply battery positive voltage to the slide motor term ...

1. Remove the aerodynamic under cover No.2 and the splash shield as a single
unit..
2. Drain the manual transaxle oil..
3. Disconnect the drive shaft (LH) from the MTX..
4. Disconnect the drive shaft (RH) from the joint shaft..
5. Remove the joint shaft..
6. Remove the oil seal (LH).

Variable Valve Timing Actuator Removal/Installation [Mzr 2.0, Mzr 2.5]
NOTE:
Variable valve timing actuator can not be disassembled because it is a
precision unit.
Intake camshaft sprocket is integrated with the variable valve timing actuator
and cannot be disassembled.
1. Remove the battery cover..
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable ...
