The Subaru Solterra alarm system combines visual and audible alerts to immediately notify of any unauthorized intrusion attempts.
The alarm in the Subaru Solterra will activate under the following conditions when armed:

Before activating the alarm system in your Subaru Solterra, ensure the following precautions are met to avoid accidental activation and to maintain optimal security:
■ Setting
Close all doors, the rear hatch, and the hood, then lock the vehicle. The Subaru Solterra alarm system will automatically arm itself after approximately 30 seconds.
The indicator light transitions from steady illumination to flashing, confirming that the system is fully activated.
■ Deactivating or stopping
To deactivate or stop the alarm system in the Subaru Solterra, perform one of the following actions:

■ Setting the alarm
The alarm system can still be activated in the Subaru Solterra even if the hood is open, provided that all doors are securely closed.
■ System maintenance
The alarm system, like other security features of the Subaru Solterra, is designed to operate without the need for routine maintenance.
■ Triggering of the alarm
The alarm may activate in the following scenarios. Stopping the alarm will simultaneously deactivate the system:
■ Alarm-operated door lock
In certain situations, the Subaru Solterra may automatically lock its doors to prevent unauthorized entry when the alarm system is triggered:

Pre-alarm
If the vehicle is unlocked using the mechanical key while the alarm system is being armed, the Subaru Solterra will emit a pre-alarm warning sound for approximately 10 seconds.
If the situation is not corrected within this time, the full alarm will activate, providing both audible and visual alerts.
To cancel or stop the pre-alarm in the Subaru Solterra, perform one of the following:
