If your Subaru Solterra becomes immobilized in mud, snow, or loose terrain, follow the steps below to safely regain traction and mobility.
Recovering procedure
1. Turn off the EV system, apply the parking brake, and set the gear selector to P.
2. Clear away mud, snow, or sand from around the tires of the Subaru Solterra.
3. Place traction aids such as wood, stones, or mats beneath the front wheels.
4. Restart the Subaru Solterra EV system.
5. Shift into D or R, release the parking brake, and gently press the accelerator while maintaining control.
■ When it is difficult to free the vehicle
Press
to deactivate TRAC for improved wheel spin control.

■ When attempting to free a stuck vehicle
If rocking the Subaru Solterra back and forth, ensure the surrounding area is clear of obstacles, vehicles, and people. Sudden release may cause unexpected movement.
