Vehicle identification
■ Vehicle identification number
The vehicle identification number (VIN) of your Subaru Solterra serves as its official legal identifier and is essential for registration, ownership documentation, and service tracking. This unique code distinguishes your Subaru Solterra from all other vehicles on the road.
On the Subaru Solterra, the VIN is located at the upper left section of the instrument panel for quick visibility from outside the vehicle.
The VIN is also stamped beneath the right-hand front seat of the Subaru Solterra for additional identification verification.
Additionally, the VIN is displayed on the Certification Regulation Label affixed to the vehicle body.

■ Cooling system coolant
To maintain optimal thermal performance of the Subaru Solterra traction battery and minimize risks such as overheating or electrical damage, it is essential to use "Genuine Traction Battery Coolant" or an equivalent high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant with low electrical conductivity and proper additive composition.
SUBARU does not guarantee safe operation if non-approved coolant is used in the Subaru Solterra, as it may increase the risk of system failure or battery short circuit.
Never substitute water, as it can severely damage the cooling system.
Do not reuse drained coolant from the Subaru Solterra radiator system.
