Even if the map screen is touched, the car-navigation system cannot be operated

Possible DTC

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Audio unit malfunction (bad LCD panel)

  • Car-navigation unit malfunction


Diagnostic Procedure

    DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS AUDIO UNIT LCD PANEL

  • Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and launch the audio unit diagnostic assist function.

    (See DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION [AUDIO].)

  • Select diagnostic assist code 01 display inspection.

  • Is the display normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the audio unit.

(See AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

    DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS CAR-NAVIGATION UNIT

  • Select diagnostic assist code 16 external device connection information clearing.

  • Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

  • Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  • Launch the audio unit diagnostic assist function.

    (See DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION [AUDIO].)

  • Select diagnostic assist code 15 vehicle NAVI signal verification.

  • Is NAVI (USB) NG displayed?

Yes

Replace the car-navigation unit.

No

Replace the audio unit.

(See AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
