Power windows
Opening and closing the power windows
In the Subaru Solterra, the power window system allows effortless control of all side windows through dedicated switches, ensuring convenience and smooth operation for both driver and passengers.
By operating the switch, the Subaru Solterra side windows move according to the selected direction and function:
*: To stop the Subaru Solterra window midway, operate the switch in the opposite direction.
■ The power windows can be operated when
The Subaru Solterra power window system functions when the power switch is in the ON position.
■ Operating the power windows after turning the EV system off
Even after switching the Subaru Solterra power to ACC or OFF, the power windows remain operable for approximately 45 seconds.
However, once either front door is opened, the Subaru Solterra automatically disables window operation for safety.
■ Jam protection function
The Subaru Solterra is equipped with a jam protection system designed to enhance safety.
If an object is detected between the window glass and the frame while closing, the system immediately stops the movement and slightly lowers the window to release the obstruction.
■ Catch protection function
When the Subaru Solterra window is opening, if an object becomes trapped between the door and the glass, the system will stop the movement to prevent damage or injury.
■ When the power window cannot be opened or closed
If the jam protection or catch protection system in the Subaru Solterra activates abnormally and prevents window operation, perform the following steps using the affected window switch:
1. Turn the Subaru Solterra power switch to ON.
2. Pull and hold the power window switch in the one-touch closing direction until the window is fully closed.
3. Release the switch briefly, then pull it again in the same direction and hold it for at least 6 seconds.
4. Press and hold the switch in the one-touch opening direction. Once the Subaru Solterra window is fully open, continue holding for an additional 1 second or more.
5. Release the switch momentarily, then press it again in the opening direction and hold for at least 4 seconds.
6. Pull the switch again in the one-touch closing direction. After the Subaru Solterra window is completely closed, keep holding the switch for an additional 1 second or more.
If the switch is released during movement, restart the entire procedure from the beginning.
If the Subaru Solterra window continues to reverse or fails to fully open or close, have the system inspected by an authorized SUBARU dealer.

■ Power window open reminder function
In the Subaru Solterra, an audible buzzer combined with a message on the multi-information display alerts the driver if the power switch is turned OFF and the driver’s door is opened while any window remains open, helping prevent leaving the vehicle unsecured.
■ Customization
The Subaru Solterra allows selected power window-related functions to be customized according to driver preferences for improved convenience and safety.
WARNING

Failure to comply may result in serious injury or even fatal consequences.
