In the Subaru Solterra, the ALL AUTO (ECO) control intelligently manages interior comfort by automatically adjusting seat heaters/radiant heaters*, seat ventilators*, and the heated steering wheel* based on the selected climate settings, as well as real-time cabin and outside temperature conditions.
This advanced ALL AUTO (ECO) function in the Subaru Solterra is specifically designed to optimize energy efficiency, helping to extend the electric driving range while maintaining a consistently comfortable cabin environment for all occupants.

Turning on ALL AUTO (ECO) control
Press the AUTO switch
Once activated in the Subaru Solterra, the indicator on the AUTO switch will illuminate, confirming that the automatic climate control system, seat heaters/radiant heaters*, seat ventilators*, and heated steering wheel* are all operating in synchronized automatic mode.
If the fan speed control switch or airflow mode control switch is manually adjusted, the AUTO indicator will turn off, indicating that the Subaru Solterra has switched from fully automatic operation to partial manual control.
Even when ALL AUTO (ECO) control is deactivated, the individual systems such as the air conditioning, seat heating/radiant heating*, seat ventilation*, and heated steering wheel will remain active and continue operating according to their last settings.
Additionally, while ALL AUTO (ECO) control is active in the Subaru Solterra, pressing the ECO switch will disable only the eco-focused climate optimization, without shutting down the overall system functionality.
If the windshield becomes fogged due to changes in outside temperature while ALL AUTO (ECO) is engaged, the Subaru Solterra allows quick defogging by pressing the "A/C" button or activating the windshield defogger via the climate control panel.

Operation of each system
■ Automatic air conditioning system
The Subaru Solterra climate system enables independent temperature adjustment for each seating position, providing a personalized comfort experience for both driver and passengers.
■ Seat heaters/radiant heaters* and seat ventilators*
In the Subaru Solterra, heating or ventilation is selected automatically depending on the set cabin temperature, ambient conditions, and system calculations, ensuring optimal thermal comfort without requiring manual adjustments.
*: if equipped
■ Heated steering wheel*
The heated steering wheel in the Subaru Solterra activates and adjusts automatically according to environmental conditions and the selected climate settings, enhancing driver comfort during cold weather.
*: if equipped
■ Passenger detection functions
The Subaru Solterra is equipped with intelligent passenger detection technology. When a front passenger is detected, the system automatically activates the seat heater/radiant heater* and seat ventilator* to match the current comfort requirements.
*: if equipped
■ Seat heaters/radiant heaters* and seat ventilators* operation
If the seat heater/radiant heater* and seat ventilator* controls are set to automatic mode, they can operate independently of passenger detection. However, when ALL AUTO (ECO) control is activated in the Subaru Solterra, these systems will adjust dynamically based on passenger presence and environmental conditions, ensuring efficient energy use and comfort.
*: if equipped
■ Rear seat heater* operation
It is important to note that in the Subaru Solterra, rear seat heaters operate independently and are not governed by the ALL AUTO (ECO) control system. Rear passengers can manage their heating preferences manually where applicable.
*: if equipped
The intelligent climate management system of the Subaru Solterra not only enhances comfort but also contributes to efficient energy utilization, making it especially beneficial for maximizing driving range in varying weather conditions.
