Mazda 3 Service Manual: Audio Unit Removal/Installation
Without Display
CAUTION:
-
When installing the audio unit, make sure that the wiring harness and antenna feeder are not caught between the unit and dashboard. If the wiring harness or the antenna feeder is caught between the unit and dashboard, it may cause malfunctions.

Pressing the switch area of the audio unit when installing it could result in a malfunction. Therefore only press the hatched area shown in the figure.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable..
2. Remove the center panel..
3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
With Display
CAUTION:

2. Remove the following parts:
a. center panel.
b. Passenger-side front scuff plate.
c. Passenger-side front side trim.
d. Dashboard under cover.
e. Glove compartment.
f. Passenger-side lower panel.
3. Remove the screws.
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

5. Remove the bolt.
6. Remove the bracket.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
