Starting the EV system in an emergency

If the Subaru Solterra EV system fails to start under normal conditions, the following emergency procedure may allow temporary activation, provided the power switch is functioning correctly.

This method should only be used in urgent situations and not as a routine starting method.

1. Engage the parking brake securely.

2. Turn the power switch to the ACC position.*

3. While firmly pressing the brake pedal, press and hold the power switch for approximately 15 seconds.

Even if the Subaru Solterra starts using this method, it may indicate an underlying system fault requiring inspection.

Have the Subaru Solterra checked by a qualified SUBARU dealer as soon as possible.

*: This setting may be customizable depending on vehicle configuration.

If you lose your keys

Replacement genuine keys for the Subaru Solterra can be created by an authorized SUBARU dealer using a spare key and the unique key number. It is strongly recommended to store the key number plate securely outside the vehicle, such as in your wallet, to ensure access in case of loss.
